outdoor concert sunburn

two outdoor concerts, gravel and sandals. left shoulder more sunburned than the right. now i've seen of montreal four times. aside from sunlandic songs, why did they have to play "old people in the cemetary" and a gnarls barkley cover? why not "doing nothing" and a good cover? but i shouldn't complain, it was for free and with good company. tonight: ambitious plans to cook the baby eggplants and compare lives with tasha while packing for the west. i wish i were going for longer. 69 love songs has been in the bathroom boombox for a while. two out of three cds have gone missing, though. new roommate moving in soon, new pots and pans. at work found out today we're hiring an additional editor for our list, which seems like pretty good news because the dynamic of a two-person (just me + boss) department has been weird. i went to a funeral a few weeks ago, first burial service i'd ever seen. how you push the first mounds of dirt with the back of the shovel to show it's something you don't want to do. a hillock of fried potatoes. chris read that in a fantasy book when he was little and now when he makes fried potatoes he thinks "i am making a hillock of fried potatoes." i just found out that the nypl has a copy of all the issues of the floating bear (diane di prima's mimeographed lit mag from the olden times) and i'm pretty excited about that, maybe i'll go tomorrow. it's reference, though. i think that means xeroxing. i never really learned research skills. okay, bye!
